Less than a week

Trip update:
Plane ticket purchased
Room reserved
Airport shuttle secured
New shirts and jammies arrived in mail
Ticket purchase info, hotel confirmation number and instructions for airport shuttle already printed out and in my “papers pouch” in my purse
Money due in at various times up till the day I leave
Robert calling today to pay part of hotel bill ahead of time
All in all I would say I’m 75% ready to go. All that’s left is to pack, which I won’t do until Wednesday, and possibly go shopping for a couple new pairs of pants.
I’m starting to get some pre-trip jitters, but that is completely de rigueur for me. Once I am dropped off at the airport and I walk through the doors the nervousness will vanish and I will be all about the fun.
The biggest dilemma I have right now is whether or not to take my camera. I did take some pictures last year but not a whole lot. Having pictures of the performers really doesn’t interest me, for some reason, so the ones I did take were of the festival grounds, the view out my window, etc.
It’s a pretty good position to be in, only having to worry about whether to take a camera or not. Last year at this time my worry was, “Am I going to have any spending money at all to do fancy things like, you know, eat?”

About msmaryb

I'm a native Californian who lives in Oklahoma. I'm a full-time student, pursuing a Bachelors in Anthropology, following which I hope to attain a Masters in Archaeology. I have three kids, one husband, no pets, and a lot of friends - most of whom live inside my computer. I love to read, write, watch tv (shut up, we can't all be brain surgeons), shop, and travel. I'm trying to set foot in all 50 states before I die. I have 38, so far. I love the Beatles and Maroon 5, and if you think those two things are incongruous, well, they are. But that's me. When I love something, I love it 100%. I don't do anything halfway. I want to know everything there is to know, so I'm trying to cram as much into my brain as I can in the short amount of time I'm allotted in this dimension.
